How does the mortar come to site?
The mortar is delivered to site as a powder in 1 tonne builders bags and mixed in a continuous flow pump machine with a low percentage of water. Once achieved its correct viscosity the mortar is poured onto the open graded asphalt where it penetrates the OGA fully.

What colours can Densiphalt be?
At the mixing stage iron oxide pigment can be added to the powder at a maximum of 5% to create colour. The colours for Densiphalt can be red, blue, green, yellow, black and white.

What are the different surface finishes for Densiphalt? For the majority of applications/environments Densiphalt is installed in the standard surface finish is adequate. The surface can be finished in a variety of ways: grit-blasted for additional surface texture, bauxite and skim-coat for waste tipping halls, ground to smooth finish for internals.

Can Densiphalt be laid onto existing concrete slabs?
Yes. Densiphalt is used extensively in overlay/refurbishment applications. It can be laid at thin depths onto existing / old concrete slabs saving on dig out and disposal costs and allowing client operations to continue with minimal disruption. Densiphalt for overlay applications will always be subject to surface preparation works required and this can vary from site to site. Detailed site surveys are carried out by CiP Densiphalt Ltd and detailed proposals submitted for a Densiphalt overlay including all surface preparation works required

How much can be laid per day?
Dependent on availability of area and number of pumps used but circa 1000-2000sqm per day.

Is Densiphalt fuel resistant?
Yes Densiphalt is fuel resistant. For areas subjected to heavy oil/fuel spills additional curing will be required. Full chemical data sheet available upon request.

What skid resistant characteristics does Densiphalt have?
Densiphalt is used externally for areas subjected to moving vehicles and it has excellent skid resistant characteristics. Rapra report available on request.
