Typical Details - Standard Densiphalt construction, depths of layers dependant on loadings/vehicle movements.
Manhole - Detail of hanching to manhole or gully. Haunch to manhole to be kept 75mm below finished level and continuous to avoid grout ingress.
Overlay on concrete - Overlay on concrete. Plane out existing concrete to required depth lay Open Graded Asphalt and apply mortar, saw cut joint and seal.
Fulldepthconstruction - Full depth reconstruction, break out existing concrete, lay base coarse, lay Open Graded Asphalt and apply mortar, saw cut joint and seal.
ExternalInterface - Detail of interface with a building or other obstruction. To enable the surface of the Densiphalt to be finished and compacted a formed edge should be provided.
Densit- Conc - At the junction of a new flexible Densiphalt construction and an existing concrete slab a flexible joint should be installed.
Internal wall - Internal floors can be laid prior to partitions being installed and then fixed to the floor using expanding bolts or other propriety fixings and the fixed to the partition.
HoldingDown - Shelving can be fixed to a Densiphalt internal installation by post drilling and fixed down using chemical anchors.
DrainageChannel - At the junction of a Densiphalt surface and a drainage channel to a avoid cracking a flexible joint can be introduced by saw cutting after construction and filling with a flexible joint filler.
JuncInt-Ext - At the junction of a building and an external installation the external construction should be kept separate from the building.
BlockPaving-Densiphalt - Detail showing junction between a slab/block paving and a Densiphalt installation. If the Densiphalt surface is installed first a fixed edge must be provided at the junction.
